Job summary

FHLBank Topeka is seeking a senior cybersecurity architect to strengthen and evolve the Bank’s security posture across hybrid environments. You will design secure architectures, advise leadership on risk, and serve as a SME for regulatory compliance across on-premise and cloud environments.

The role involves leading secure enablement of enterprise AI security systems, implementing AI tool security controls, and maturing vulnerability management processes while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Eight to ten years of information security or related experience.
• CISSP certification preferred.
• CCSP or cloud security certification preferred.
• SABSA SCF or equivalent preferred.
• Azure Security Engineer Associate or equivalent preferred.
• Advanced understanding of secure networking concepts (Zero Trust, segmentation, SD-WAN).
• Working knowledge of industry standards regarding security devices and procedures.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Experience in a highly-regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Support and evolve the Bank’s information security strategy.
• Architect, design and deploy solutions across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Lead the secure enablement of enterprise AI security systems and integrations.
• Design and implement security controls for AI tools.
• Operate and mature vulnerability management processes.
• Monitor and investigate security events and incidents.
• Provide advanced technical support and guide junior staff.
• Advise leaders on cybersecurity risks and mitigation strategies.
• Deliver security training and awareness.
