Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Salt Lake City is seeking a Senior Specialist, Information Security Systems Engineering to drive security architecture and requirements oversight across software, network, FPGA and hardware interfaces for defense-grade systems.

You will work with cross-functional teams to apply RMF and NIST controls, develop and maintain RMF documentation, and provide evidence for authorization. Travel up to 10% and active Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of engineering incl. cybersecurity with 6+ years of relevant experience, or graduate degree with 4+ years, or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Active Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply security controls from NIST SP 800-53/NIST CNSSI 1253 into engineer-ready requirements.
• Support implementation and validation of STIGs and baselines.
• Execute RMF lifecycle activities (categorization to continuous monitoring).
• Develop and maintain RMF documentation (SSP, SAR, POA&M, Security Plans).
• Review system designs to ensure security requirements are met.
• Interface with AOs and assessors to support authorization.
• Track and report compliance, risks, and remediation to leadership.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
