Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Information Security Systems Engineering to support RMF compliance for mission-critical communication systems. You will work with systems, software, and hardware engineers to implement security controls and develop authorization artifacts for system certification.

The role emphasizes governance, risk, and compliance with DoD standards, and requires DoD security clearance eligibility. On-site in Salt Lake City, UT with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• DoD RMF experience and DoD 8140/8570-aligned certification preferred.
• DoD security framework knowledge and DoD system accreditation experience.
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Execute RMF lifecycle activities, including categorization, control selection, and authorization.
• Develop and maintain RMF artifacts such as SSPs, SARs, and POA&Ms.
• Interpret NIST SP 800-53 controls and STIGs for DoD systems.
• Collaborate with systems, software, and hardware engineers to implement security controls.
• Support authorization efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
• Track compliance status and remediation activities for leadership.
