Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead, Information Security Systems Engineer in Palm Bay, FL to drive secure system architectures and lifecycle security. The role involves collaborating with customers to define security requirements and integrating multiple security methods into a cohesive perimeter.

Responsibilities include leading RMF/A&A processes, coordinating with DoD procurement and certification efforts, and ensuring compliance with standards such as NIST 800-37 and 800-53.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher with relevant experience.
• Active Collateral Secret security clearance required.
• Experience with RMF accreditation and A&A processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment activities for security and privacy controls in embedded systems using NIST 800-53.
• Guide RMF accreditation processes (A&A) including steps 1-4 and BoE package development.
• Support DoD software selection and approval processes for COTS, GOTS and FOSS.
• Assist program security in policy development for emerging security technologies.
• Ensure 100% onsite work in a lab environment with no remote options.
• Possess ability to obtain a DOD 8140 or NIST 800-181 certification within 6 months.
