Job summary

Sompo seeks an Information Security Officer to lead and modernize our global Information Security program, aligning with external and corporate requirements. You will manage more than 7,000 users, hundreds of developers and IT staff, 10,000+ network devices and 75+ locations across the globe.

This role can be based out of Purchase, NY, New York City, Morristown, NJ, Conshohocken, PA or Charlotte, NC, with a collaborative environment designed to grow long-term careers in security.

Qualifications

• Over 15 years of experience across technical, security, and risk management roles.
• At least 7 years in a senior information security management role.
• Experience integrating regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and industry standards.
• CISSP, CISM or similar certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and modernize the information security program across global operations.
• Manage controls: encryption, DLP, logging, and adversarial simulation.
• Detect, report, and escalate vulnerabilities to operational teams.
• Operate and evolve security alerting to match the threat environment.
• Maintain incident response procedures for any scale.
• Communicate security updates and recommendations to all Sompo users.
