Job summary

Sompo is seeking an Information Security Officer to lead and modernize our global information security program. You will manage 7,000+ users, hundreds of developers and IT staff, 10,000+ network devices, and 75+ locations.

You’ll drive security controls across Windows, cloud, and SaaS environments, oversee risk management, incident response, and regulatory alignment, and partner with leaders to advance a mature, metrics-driven security program.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years in technical, security, and risk roles.
• Minimum 7 years in a senior information security management role.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or info security; CISSP or CISM certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and modernize security controls across systems and processes.
• Detect, report, and escalate vulnerabilities to the operations teams.
• Operate an evolving security alerting function aligned to threats and disruptions.
• Lead incident response and participate in the SDLC alignment with the information security program.
• Establish a security communications program for users and leadership.
