Job summary

Sompo is seeking an Information Security Officer to lead and modernize the global Information Security program, managing 7,000+ users, hundreds of developers, IT staff, 10,000+ devices across 75+ locations, and ensuring robust controls.

Based in US offices such as Purchase, NY; New York City; Morristown, NJ; Conshohocken, PA; Charlotte, NC, this role partners with executives to align security with regulatory and corporate requirements and drive a proactive security culture.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in technical, security, and risk management roles.
• 7+ years in a senior information security management role.
• Experience integrating regulatory requirements into operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and modernize security controls across systems with documented designs.
• Detect, report, and escalate vulnerabilities to operational teams.
• Operate an effective security alerting function and incident response process.
• Collaborate in SDLC to align with the information security program.
• Communicate security updates and best practices to all users.
