Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in the United States is seeking a motivated Senior Information Security Analyst to join the Cybersecurity team.

You will work on software vetting, compliance, exception monitoring, engineering tasks, and configuration support, managing workload independently and aligning security configurations with recognized frameworks. This role offers the opportunity to take on new responsibilities upon demonstrated capabilities.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field – or equivalent work experience.
• Have active Security+ certification (or be required to obtain within six months of onboarding)
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements (NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, ISO 27001, etc.)
• Strong English language skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service.
• Strong time/task management skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple ongoing tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Tier 1/2/3 Cyber help desk duties, including initial customer contact, issue identification, troubleshooting, and timely resolution.
• Vet software for inclusion on/exclusion from production network.
• Perform security posture checks and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Assist with risk assessment and development of RMF, NIST SP 800-171, and CMMC compliance.
• Escalate issues to engineers or managers when appropriate.
• Assist in maintaining and developing the InfoSec Team’s process documentation.
• Collaborate with IT and Cybersecurity teams on security configurations.
