Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in Arlington, VA seeks a Vice President, Security to lead all aspects of security across the organization. The role partners with the CISO to maintain a robust security posture and ensure compliance with U.S.

government policies and regulations. You will oversee industrial, personnel, and physical security, risk intelligence, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in security program management, government compliance, and classified program

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (preferred).
• 15+ years’ experience in industrial security, SAP/SCI programs, and classified security programs.
• 10+ years of direct managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of NISPOM, ICD 705, DoDM 5205.07, and related security regulations.
• Proven ability to lead DCSA reviews, inspections, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead security program ensuring compliance with DoD, IC, and federal directives.
• Develop and sustain a security culture aligned with mission-critical needs and employee engagement.
• Oversee security investigations and incident reporting with mitigations.
• Manage education and awareness programs to reinforce security best practices.
• Oversee industrial security, confidence in DD Form 254 requirements, and classified obligations.
• Coordinate secure construction, accreditation for SCIFs/SAPFs, and travel security.
