Job summary

NextGen Healthcare is seeking a Sr. Specialist I, Information Operations to lead field engineering, systems availability, and operations across our regional client network. The role focuses on reliable, secure operation of enterprise network infrastructure and connected clinical technologies across distributed healthcare facilities.

The position is based in Montgomery County, Maryland (Bethesda/Rockville) with regular travel to support clients in Northern Virginia and the Greater DC Area.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering, or equivalent experience.
4–6 years of firewall and network experience.
Experience with Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, or Palo Alto.
Familiarity with SolarWinds Orion, VMware, and AWS.
Strong teamwork, communication, and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site and remote network engineering and support.
Design and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN, security systems.
Manage routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls, DHCP, DNS.
Create documentation and diagrams for network configurations.
Coordinate and perform in-depth tests and performance reports.
Travel to client sites as required.
