Job summary

NextGen Healthcare in Montgomery County, MD, seeks a Sr. Specialist I, Information Operations to lead field engineering, systems availability, and technical operations across our regional healthcare client network.

You will ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operation of enterprise network infrastructure and connected clinical technologies across distributed facilities. The role requires on-site work with regular travel to Northern Virginia, and hands-on experience with firewall systems,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years' experience with firewall systems (Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, or Palo Alto) and network infrastructure.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining LAN/WAN, VPNs, DNS/DHCP, and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead field engineering and technical operations across regional client network.
• Manage connectivity, routers, switches, and security for enterprise networks.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN issues and coordinate with vendors for rapid resolution.
• Create and maintain network documentation and system performance reports.
• Ensure uptime and security of clinical technologies across facilities.
