Job summary

M. W. Watermark in Holland, MI is seeking an experienced Sewing Machine Operator III to perform set-up and operation of industrial sewing machines for filter cloth manufacturing.

You will ensure quality control, adjust machines as needed, and perform routine maintenance while adhering to safety standards. The role also includes non-sewing tasks such as applying latex, rope handling, laser operation, and mentoring new staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand instruction detail in English.
• Prior industrial sewing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate industrial sewing machines and perform related sewing tasks.
• Perform non-sewing operations such as applying latex, cutting and fusing ropes, operating grommet machines and laser equipment.
• Train and mentor new employees in equipment operation and proper practices.
• Follow safety rules, maintain housekeeping, and update ERP system with job information.
