Job summary

M.W. Watermark is seeking a Sewing Machine Operator III in Michigan to perform set-up and operation of industrial sewing machines, ensuring quality and timely production. You will also apply latex, cut & fuse ropes, and operate grommet machinery as needed.

The role requires basic reading and arithmetic, English instruction comprehension, and prior sewing experience; lifting up to 25 pounds is required. This is a hands-on, on-site manufacturing position with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required, which are normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and understand instruction detail written and communicated in English.
• Prior industrial sewing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate industrial sewing machines for production.
• Sew material using Industrial Sewing Machines (Barrel Necks, Ropes & Velcro).
• Inspect finished product for quality control.
• Make minor sewing machine adjustments.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Update ERP system with job information.
• Train and mentor new employees in equipment operation.
• Follow safety and housekeeping rules.
• Other duties as assigned.
