Job summary

M.W. Watermark in Michigan is seeking a Sewing Machine Operator I to perform set-up and operation of industrial sewing machines for filter cloth manufacturing. This hands-on role requires reliability and adherence to safety rules.

You will follow production guides, apply latex, cut and fuse ropes, and work with grommet machines; safety and ERP data entry are required. Prior sewing experience is preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and understand instructions in English.
• Experience with industrial sewing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up industrial sewing machines (ropes and Velcro).
• Sew to production samples and inspect stitching for defects.
• Apply latex to cloths per specifications.
• Cut and fuse ropes; operate small and large grommet machines.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping; update ERP with job data.
• Promote continuous improvement; perform other duties as assigned.
