Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems in Boston seeks a Senior Service Technician to maintain, repair, and support industrial refrigeration systems at customer sites. A strong knowledge of commercial and industrial refrigeration and electrical controls is required, with leadership in safety, technical knowledge, and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED; HVAC/R or electrical schooling preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant refrigeration/service experience.
• Universal EPA certification or ability to obtain.
• RETA 1 & 2 certifications preferred.
• Safety-sensitive role with pre-employment and regular drug testing.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work long shifts with respirator.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert repair and maintenance for industrial ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP.
• Perform routine and emergency service, diagnostics, and inspections on screw and reciprocal compressors.
• Troubleshoot and repair control systems, alarms, and electrical systems.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies, including PPE usage.
• Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance with Service Managers and customers.
• Mentor and support apprentice technicians in developing skills and maintaining service quality.
