Job summary

Smart Care Equipment Solutions is seeking a Lead Commercial Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-availability refrigeration and HVAC equipment for commercial facilities. This role involves directing other technicians, diagnosing complex issues, and ensuring top-notch customer service with safety-conscious practices.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, experience with supermarkets or large facilities, and the ability to interpret wiring

Qualifications

• EPA 608 certification is required.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift equipment and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration systems and related equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration system issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and failures.
• Work on walk-in coolers, freezers, reach-ins, ice machines and display cases.
• Check refrigerant levels, locate leaks, and perform recovery, evacuation, and charging as required.
• Troubleshoot compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, controls, motors, and relays.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and manuals.
• Maintain accurate service records of work performed and parts used.
• Communicate professionally with customers and explain issues and solutions.
• Maintain tools, service vehicles, and inventory in good condition.
• Follow safety procedures and refrigerant regulations.
