Job summary

IR Pros is seeking an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Service Manager to lead our Mansfield-based service operations, supervise a team of technicians, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in ammonia, CO2, and Freon systems.

The role emphasizes customer relationship management, budgeting support, and driving efficiency in installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial refrigeration systems across our facilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of industrial refrigeration experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong technical expertise in ammonia and Freon-based refrigeration systems.
• RETA certification strongly preferred; EPA Universal Certification required.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in service management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor service technicians and support staff.
• Schedule and assign work orders, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial refrigeration systems.
• Ensure adherence to preventive maintenance schedules and emergency service protocols.
• Review and approve service reports, work orders, and job costing.
• Maintain proper inventory and procurement of parts, tools, and safety equipment.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the service department.
• Monitor KPIs, service revenues, and profitability.
• Support sales efforts by identifying new service opportunities and preparing quotes for new and existing customers.
