Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Senior Superintendent to coordinate the work of all Ryan employees, subcontractors and project management on the jobsite to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.

You will enforce safety programs, manage personnel, and work with owners/tenants across project scopes. You will read contracts, value engineer, procure materials, expedite purchases, and oversee bids and closeout.

Qualifications

• Post high school education or equivalent in the construction field.
• Management and Sales Training.
• Completed all qualifications and responsibilities of Superintendent.
• 2-5 years as a foreman in the trade.
• 1-2 years' experience in layout.
• 2-5 years as an Assistant Superintendent in the trade.
• 1-3 years as a Superintendent.
• Thorough knowledge of every aspect of building projects.
• Ability to understand shop drawings.
• Ability to read, comprehend prints and specifications to provide proper direction to project personnel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors and Ryan Company employees.
• Manage select projects applicable to experience.
• Comprehend and administer project budgets.
• Read and administer contracts.
• Value engineer projects and details.
• Assist project team with material procurement process.
• Expedite and control all material purchases.
• Negotiate and purchase limited contracts.
• Do estimates for self-performed work (bids).
• Oversee project closeout.
