Job summary

MEC is seeking a Senior Project Manager for MEC Industrial District, based in Irvine, CA, to lead complex projects across water, wastewater, and power generation markets. You will oversee planning, execution, and client relations, with emphasis on safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a four-year college.
• 10+ years of related experience in infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning and delivery of complex industrial projects including engineering, procurement, construction, contract administration, equipment and client relations.
• Drive project performance by implementing effective work methods, scheduling, cost control, and technical excellence.
• Ensure team capabilities align with project demands while fostering continuous improvement and development.
• Direct multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring clear communication and accountability to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Establish project procedures aligned with contracts and quality plans; oversee all controls, schedules and budgets.
• Represent the project with client, general contractor, subcontractors, and vendors at meetings and reviews.
• Coordinate training and compliance to ensure project procedures are followed.
• Identify and secure approvals for changes in scope, budget, and schedule.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the client and adjust deliverables to meet contractual obligations.
