Mass. Electric Construction Co. (MEC) is seeking a Project Manager based in Irvine, CA to lead complex industrial projects across water, wastewater, and power sectors, with opportunities for rapid growth and hands-on development.

You will manage planning, scheduling, cost control, and team leadership to meet scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring safety and quality standards across North America. Travel and relocation support may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a four‑year college or university.
• 10+ years of related experience in the infrastructure or industrial industry.
• Competent in project control and administration software (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Manage planning and delivery of complex industrial projects including engineering, procurement, construction, contract administration, equipment and client relations.
• Drive project performance by implementing effective work methods, scheduling, cost control, and technical excellence.
• Ensure team capabilities align with project demands while promoting continuous improvement and development.
• Direct multidisciplinary project teams, facilitating communication, coordination, and accountability to meet scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
• Establish project procedures aligned with contractual documents and quality plans; oversee controls, schedules, and budgets.
• Serve as project representative with client, general contractor, subcontractors, and vendors at kick‑offs, walks, reviews, and meetings.
• Coordinate training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed.
• Identify and secure necessary approvals for changes in scope, budget, and/or schedule.
• Maintain ongoing client communication and adjust deliverables to meet needs within contractual obligations.
• Ensure safety, quality, environmental, and compliance standards are followed while delivering on time and to quality expectations.
