Job summary

FCC Environmental Services, LLC in Roseville, CA is hiring a Plant Mechanic responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs of fixed equipment in our Material Recovery Facility and C&D waste operations. You will diagnose mechanical problems, perform repairs, replace belts, motors, hydraulic cylinders, and ensure safe, productive operation.

You will manage inventories, use hand and power tools, weld and cut with torch, and may service plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of industrial experience.
• Strong hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting.
• PLC troubleshooting with electrical aptitude.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose or troubleshoot mechanical problems using charts, manuals and expertise.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on recycling and C&D equipment to maximize safe operations.
• Replace conveyor belts, electrical motors, hydraulic cylinders and other parts.
• Maintain inventories by checking stock, anticipating needs, and placing orders.
• Use hand tools, power tools and welding equipment as needed.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and weld.
• May repair plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Follow safety policies and procedures; work at heights with aerial platforms.
