Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group is seeking a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician for a fast-growing food processing operation in Blue Island, IL. The role is on-site and involves hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance across a three-shift plant, with a focus on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Electrical experience with 480V three-phase systems required.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair in an industrial plant environment preferred (food/chemical).
• MIG and stick welding preferred.
• SCADA, PLC, or VFD exposure is a plus.
• CMMS experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and LOTO.
• Comfortable in a hot, non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle mechanical and electrical maintenance across a three-shift food processing plant.
• Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems, including 480V equipment.
• Weld (MIG and stick), fabricate, and rig as needed.
• Install, align, and service pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, screens, and tanks.
• Use SCADA, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and instrumentation to locate faults.
• Complete PM work in the CMMS and maintain accurate records.
• Follow and enforce LOTO, confined space, hot work, and OSHA rules.
• Assist maintenance manager with planning and prioritization of work.
