Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance and repair of plant equipment, tools, and machinery. You will work under the Maintenance Supervisor to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, a high school diploma, and strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, plus CMMS experience and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and follow step-by-step instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, belting, electrical, and carpentry.
• Experience with CMMS systems.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Understand preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance on plant structures.
• Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and machines.
• Test and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and perform repairs.
• Install electrical components and test functionality.
• Dismantle equipment to access parts using hoists and tools.
• MIG welding, torch cutting, and light machining as needed.
• Operate hand and power tools to maintain equipment.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Collaborate with mobile mechanics as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
