Job summary

CRH's Oldcastle Infrastructure division is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure equipment safety and efficiency in a manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and fixture installation, with opportunities to work from basic blueprints and a variety of shop tools.

Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical/hydraulic systems, and welding skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience of at least 5 years is preferred.
• Forklift training and certification will be provided by the company.
• Welding skills preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to review and understand basic machine blueprints is a plus.
• Ability to use hand tools and basic machine shop equipment.
• Lifting may be required with assistance provided.
• Endure intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the safe working condition of facility equipment, building and grounds.
• Constructs fixtures as required.
• Performs preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment as scheduled.
• Repairs facility equipment, fixtures, building, and grounds.
• Removes and/or installs fixtures and equipment for safe, efficient operation.
• Troubleshoots systems to determine causes of failures and recommends solutions for repair.
• Maintains cleanliness, functionality, and efficiency of maintenance equipment, tools, and fixtures.
