Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to maintain and repair production equipment and electrical components across North American facilities.

The role requires at least 5 years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read safety procedures and maintenance instructions. You will perform preventive maintenance and use a range of hand and power tools in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Technical or vocational school certification preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety procedures and maintenance instructions.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and electrical principles.
• Manufacturing/industrial environment experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 65 lbs and work in dusty, hot or cold conditions.

Responsibilities

• Replace, install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair production equipment and electrical components
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine solutions
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines at optimal levels
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, fluids, filters and perform maintenance per checklists
• Replace faulty parts, wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards
• Dismantle equipment to access parts using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools
• Lubricate and clean parts and equipment for proper operation
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair and weld as needed
• Review blueprints, schematics and repair manuals
• Operate production machines to understand capabilities and troubleshoot
• Other duties as assigned
