Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking a Sr Industrial Engineer to maximize throughput and drive continuous improvement in the Surveillance portfolio. You will model factory operations, analyze bottlenecks, and apply Six Sigma and Lean methods to meet cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.

You will influence roadmaps and investment plans, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to safety and ergonomics improvements across production areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial/Systems/Manufacturing Engineering or similar field.
• Experience applying lean manufacturing, capacity modeling, facility design, and process optimization.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF clearance.

Responsibilities

• Model factory operations by generating process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean principles to improve efficiency and meet cost, quality, and schedule targets.
• Influence factory roadmaps and investment strategies, and plan integration of new products and equipment.
• Work with cross-functional teams to execute projects addressing obsolescence and growth.
• Support new production contracts and product integration efforts.
• Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics.
