Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr Industrial Engineer to support the Surveillance portfolio of factories in McKinney, TX, focusing on maximizing throughput and improving efficiency. The role emphasizes labor performance analysis, line balancing, capacity planning, and factory layout optimizations.

You will work with cross-functional teams on projects addressing obsolescence, new product integration, and safety improvements, while leveraging Six Sigma and Lean methods to drive measurable gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of experience or Master’s with 2+ years.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Industrial/Systems/Manufacturing Engineering or similar.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Capacity Modeling, Facility Design, or Process Optimization.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF clearance.

Responsibilities

• Model factory operations with process flows, value streams and diagrams.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean principles to improve efficiency and delivery.
• Draft infrastructure improvements and plan new product integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address obsolescence and growth.
• Support new production contracts and product proposals.
