Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. seeks a Senior Industrial Engineer I to apply technical methods and business insight to design efficient systems in fulfillment centers and distribution centers.

You will collaborate with Supply Chain Operations leadership to drive improvements and automation across complex operations. Responsibilities include data collection and complex analysis for continuous improvement, capacity and cost-benefit studies, and time/motion studies using MOST/MTM.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ Industrial Engineering experience, including 3+ years in a Supply Chain Distribution/Fulfillment (e-Com) environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Industrial and Systems Engineering; Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent preferred
• AutoCAD, Simulation, and SQL query experience highly desired

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs complex data analysis to drive continuous improvement ideas, capacity analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and change initiatives.
• Advanced use of Lean Six Sigma to optimize and lead supply chain solutions for current and future operations.
• Performs time and motion studies using MOST, MSD, MTM and other standards; identifies gaps and improves productivity.
• Mentor engineers and lead Standard Work initiatives with operations and CI teams.
• Creates AutoCAD layouts for space planning and process design improvements.
