Job summary

Jacobs, a leader in engineering and science for a range of industries, is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support Electronics Advanced Facilities. The role focuses on designing and supporting state‑of‑the‑art semiconductor facilities, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and Jacobs’ disciplines.

You will validate utility planning, optimize equipment layouts, and lead project teams with strong analytical and communication skills. US location flexible, remote option available for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License in Industrial/Systems, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Must be able to obtain Professional Engineer License in OR, ID, and NY at start of employment.
• Minimum of 10 years of industry experience in semiconductor fab design, manufacturing, or closely related field.
• Ability to travel globally 5% to 15% of the time.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Data analysis experience using MS Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams of industrial engineering professionals to design and support state‑of‑the‑art semiconductor facilities.
• Develop the base build factory design and coordinate requirements with clients, subcontractors, project management, and Jacobs’ disciplines.
• Validate utility planning and optimize equipment layouts for a fully operational facility.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver engineering excellence.
