Job summary
Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, CA is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support work measurement, cost analysis, capacity planning, and Lean/Six-Sigma initiatives. You will conduct time studies, analyze data, and lead improvements across ADP programs with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities include FAMSCO facilitation, production support, and mentoring newer engineers while delivering cost-efficient solutions and robust planning using EVMS concepts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field.
- Experience applying Industrial Engineering principles in industry (forecasting, scheduling, staffing).
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in a relevant manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- First Article Master Scheduling Committee (FAMSCO) facilitation
- Work directly with and in support of the production operations team
- Performing observations and time studies to support cost driver analysis and process improvement
- Using visualization and data analytic tools to analyze production processes
- Applying Lean and Six-Sigma practices to production and leading major improvement efforts
- Assisting in new product development and proposal efforts with data analysis
- Standardizing team processes
- Leading/mentoring newer Industrial Engineers
