Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support the Industrial Engineering Team and Engineered Labor Standards program across its distribution centers nationwide. The role focuses on process engineering, data collection and analysis, associate training, and implementation of the program.

Travel up to 75% is required. The candidate will develop labor standards, analyze processes, train management and hourly staff, and drive cost-saving facility layout improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Experience with Red Prairie’s Labor Management System and/or EXE Warehouse management system.
• Knowledge in Warehouse/Operations Management, Time Studies, Process Planning/Optimization, Data Mining, Data Analysis and Data Visualization.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and experience with stop-watch studies, work sampling and MTM/MOST.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work outside normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain engineered labor standards for distribution functions across facilities.
• Study and analyze current processes, determine effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
• Train DC management and hourly staff in proper methods and procedures.
• Engage with associates to explain labor standards using change management strategies.
• Develop and evaluate facility layout changes to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Provide cost savings related to layout changes and related duties.
• Test labor-related improvements in labor management systems.
