Job summary

The candidate will work to improve product flow, standardize methods, and contribute to cost control and efficiency initiatives. Qualified candidates will have ABET-accredited engineering training and 5+ years in IE, with strong communication and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from ABET accredited program.
• 5+ years of industrial engineering experience.
• Knowledge of IE tools: capacity analysis, theory of constraints, waste elimination, production improvements.
• Experience leading projects and project teams with a continuous improvement focus.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of leadership.

Responsibilities

• Analyses and designs sequence of operations to improve plant and production efficiencies.
• Establishes methods for maximum utilization of facilities and personnel and optimize product flow.
• May establish accident prevention measures and assist in training programs for production operations.
• Develops time standards and standard work for operations and processes.
• Uses analytical skills for capacity analysis, tool and equipment utilization, and line balancing.
• Performs trend analysis of shop performance to identify improvement opportunities.
