Job description

We are currently seeking a skilled senior electrical maintenance tech to join our team in Phoenix. A successful candidate will bring a strong electrical and mechanical background, excellent communication skills, eagerness to move into a higher-level position, and experience in a manufacturing plant. Shift

Day Shift - 5am to 3:30pm

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain, troubleshoot, PM, and repair equipment in assigned area with no guidance needed.
  2. Interview, provide feedback and mentorship for prospective team members throughout onboarding and probation, providing weekly updates to the maintenance supervisor.
  3. Champion assigned asset categories, working closely with OEMs to improve asset reliability using reliability centered maintenance, root cause analysis, FIIX data, and planning/scheduling.
  4. Utilize root cause analysis tools such as 5 whys, fishbone diagram, or FMEA.
  5. Use FIIX CMMS to analyze data and identify root causes.
  6. Lead 5S methodology in all maintenance areas, maintaining an audit-ready environment and mentoring other technicians.
  7. Understand departmental goals, leading and lag indicators, and their impact on overall reliability improvements.
  8. Train and mentor others in troubleshooting and process adherence, using learning assets and offline assets for training work orders.
  9. Maintain open and accurate communication with team members and supervision.
  10. Complete all work orders thoroughly, documenting all necessary information.
  11. Perform technical maintenance tasks under supervision.
  12. Provide information for proper parts inventory management.
  13. Coordinate with outside contractors for projects and improvements.
  14. Maintain facility grounds and services.
  15. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent, with 10 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Ability to train and develop others using training assets and instruction on rebuilds, repairs, and PMs.
  3. Programming VFDs, understanding digital logic systems, process measurement, PLCs, and reading schematics.
  4. Knowledge of single and three-phase motors, transformers, circuits, and rigging skills.
  5. Strong electrical knowledge up to 480V and understanding of utility energy sources.
  6. Ability to maintain plant utilities and work independently.
  7. Proficiency in measuring, cutting, threading, and joining various piping materials.
  8. Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and power tools.
  9. 30-hour OSHA training and adherence to OSHA and company safety regulations.
  10. Understanding of FIIX procedures and data entry in tracking systems.
  11. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  12. Completion of Level III Assessment Training is required.
