Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, PM, and repair equipment in assigned area with no guidance needed.
- Interview, provide feedback and mentorship for prospective team members throughout onboarding and probation, providing weekly updates to the maintenance supervisor.
- Champion assigned asset categories, working closely with OEMs to improve asset reliability using reliability centered maintenance, root cause analysis, FIIX data, and planning/scheduling.
- Utilize root cause analysis tools such as 5 whys, fishbone diagram, or FMEA.
- Use FIIX CMMS to analyze data and identify root causes.
- Lead 5S methodology in all maintenance areas, maintaining an audit-ready environment and mentoring other technicians.
- Understand departmental goals, leading and lag indicators, and their impact on overall reliability improvements.
- Train and mentor others in troubleshooting and process adherence, using learning assets and offline assets for training work orders.
- Maintain open and accurate communication with team members and supervision.
- Complete all work orders thoroughly, documenting all necessary information.
- Perform technical maintenance tasks under supervision.
- Provide information for proper parts inventory management.
- Coordinate with outside contractors for projects and improvements.
- Maintain facility grounds and services.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with 10 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to train and develop others using training assets and instruction on rebuilds, repairs, and PMs.
- Programming VFDs, understanding digital logic systems, process measurement, PLCs, and reading schematics.
- Knowledge of single and three-phase motors, transformers, circuits, and rigging skills.
- Strong electrical knowledge up to 480V and understanding of utility energy sources.
- Ability to maintain plant utilities and work independently.
- Proficiency in measuring, cutting, threading, and joining various piping materials.
- Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and power tools.
- 30-hour OSHA training and adherence to OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Understanding of FIIX procedures and data entry in tracking systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Completion of Level III Assessment Training is required.
