Pharmacy Technician - Freedom Fertility - Remote, AZ (Finance)

This is a full-time work-from-home position that requires residency within Arizona.

As a Pharmacy Technician at Freedom Fertility, you will assist patients in obtaining medications to help build their families. Your role involves engaging with patients, insurance companies, and various departments to process orders and ensure timely shipment. The position is detail-oriented, involving work on our computer system, answering incoming calls, and making outbound calls to review benefit coverage with patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Associate prescription images with patient profiles and create new profiles as needed.
• Prepare prescriptions for processing, assessing their validity.
• Route orders to appropriate stages for processing, validation, or clarification from healthcare providers or insurance.
• Accurately enter prescriptions into our system, run test claims, and support patients with their medication orders.
• Add insurance and discount program information, including setting up coordination of benefits.
• Resolve rejections and communicate delays to patients.
• Interact with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve issues and provide guidance on medication coverage.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding prescriptions, coverage, copays, and refills.
• Handle multiple tasks with attention to detail and maintain thorough documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Relevant experience or willingness to learn.
• Valid National Pharmacy Technician certification.
• Valid Arizona State pharmacy technician license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Residency within Arizona.
• Experience with prescription claims and understanding rejections is a plus.

Work Schedule:

• Rotating shifts including early mornings, mid-mornings, and one evening shift per week.
• Occasional Saturday shifts every 4-5 weeks.
• Schedule adjustments during daylight savings time.
