Accelera in Michigan is seeking a Lead Industrial Electrical Engineer to spearhead design, installation, and optimization of power distribution systems for industrial environments. You will act as the technical authority, ensuring safety standards and efficiency while guiding field execution and cross-functional project planning.

You will lead surveys, develop designs, supervise on-site teams, and collaborate with controls specialists to integrate advanced systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
10+ years of experience in industrial electrical engineering, installation, or maintenance.
Master Electrician certification and valid journeyman license.
Expertise in interpreting electrical schematics and using design software.
Ability to travel 60-80% for nationwide projects.

Responsibilities

Lead site surveys and develop power distribution designs and one-line diagrams.
Oversee full project lifecycle from costing to installation and commissioning.
Manage on-site teams and subcontractors for safety and workmanship.
Execute complex electrical installations, including conduit work and terminations per NEC.
Collaborate with controls to integrate advanced systems and troubleshoot on-site and remotely.
Perform arc flash studies and manage LOTO procedures.
Support sourcing by identifying compatible components within budget.
