Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Project Planning Specialist to drive operational excellence by managing complex schedules and work sequences within a heavy industrial power generation environment.

You will coordinate between Operations, Maintenance and Engineering, producing detailed project plans, authoring work instructions, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across multiple projects.

This role also involves mentoring junior staff and representing the department in fleet-wide planning meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and scheduling within heavy industrial or power generation settings.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation and technical specifications.
• Proficiency with project management software and scheduling tools.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize comprehensive project plans for plant systems and critical equipment.
• Author detailed, logical work instructions that maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Ensure all technical documentation aligns with rigorous industry standards and safety regulations.
• Analyze Engineering Change requirements to integrate them into existing workflows.
• Conduct field walkdowns to evaluate site conditions, identify corrective needs, and verify surveillance activities.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to streamline project delivery.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior staff and represent the department in fleet-wide planning meetings.
