Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Sr. Construction Manager to lead large-scale industrial projects, including ground-up distribution centers and retrofit concepts, from concept through closeout.

You will drive preconstruction, budgeting, scheduling, and field execution in collaboration with real estate, design, and operations teams, while planning travel up to 50% and maintaining high craftsmanship and schedule discipline.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management, real estate development, architecture/design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred: 10+ years of experience in land development and industrial construction, including greenfield preconstruction and onsite construction.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project quality from Design Development to Commissioning.
• Organize and monitor concurrent projects with high-quality communication and deadlines.
• Identify and mitigate project impacts.
• Influence internal and external business partners.
• Problem-solve and negotiate tradeoffs to meet goals.
• Contribute to design development for constructability and cost efficiency.
• Ensure scope clarity and field coordination.
• Develop budgets leveraging historical data and market conditions.
• Create and maintain milestone schedules with critical path activities.
• Lead value engineering to optimize costs while preserving design intent.
• Evaluate site utilities for constraints and coordination.
• Understand construction phasing and sequencing for turnover.
• Provide contractor accountability, cost performance, and schedule management including permitting and inspection protocols.
• Engage with municipalities for entitlement/permit processes.
• Travel to job sites up to 50%.
