Job summary

Sundt Construction seeks a Senior Project Manager in Tempe, AZ to lead power plant builds, heavy industrial, and renewable energy projects. You’ll administer and execute projects safely, profitably, and on schedule, coordinating with owners, designers, and subcontractors.

The role includes business development, estimating, bids, and contract negotiations. Candidate should have 15+ years in large-scale construction, with successful management of projects up to $900 million; Step I/II progression,

Qualifications

• Pre-Con managing construction projects with knowledge of contract documents and schedules.
• Experience with cost control, equipment, manpower, and formwork.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Transition projects from estimating to field with contract review and scheduling.
• Close out requirements and warranty callbacks to protect relationships.
• Coordinate means/methods with Project Superintendent for profitable execution.
• Maintain professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subs.
• Manage overall project success including safety, schedule, quality, and profitability.
• Oversee billing and payments; ensure timely submissions.
• Develop CPM schedule with Superintendents; coordinate procurement with Engineers.
• Utilize Last Planner System to manage schedules.
• Assist in estimates with cost control, equipment, formwork, and insurance.
• Engage in business development: client contact, proposals, negotiations.
• Prepare Monthly Progress Reports and cost projections.
• Review and approve change orders and budget adjustments.
• Ensure insurance before subcontractor starts onsite.
