Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Lead Indirects Superintendent for the Houston API facility project. You will lead indirects operations, oversee temporary facilities, logistics, and site services, and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and ES&H teams to deliver on schedule and safety targets.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive indirects knowledge, and 10–13 years (14–17 in some cases) of relevant experience, with a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of indirects and construction-site support operations.
• Ability to lead, train, mentor, and develop large field organizations and multiple superintendents.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and recovery planning capabilities.
• Working knowledge of project controls, procurement, inspection, and environmental-control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and development to Indirects Superintendents and site teams; set priorities and monitor performance.
• Establish execution strategies and readiness for temporary facilities, offices, fencing, traffic control, and related services.
• Determine manpower, material, and resource needs; support budgets, forecasts, and manning plans.
• Develop Three Week Lookaheads, track progress, and implement corrective actions to protect schedule.
• Coordinate interfaces with Area/Discipline Superintendents, ES&H, procurement, and client representatives.
• Administer subcontractor and vendor work following approved scope and procedures.
• Review progress, quantities, cost and schedule performance, and productivity; communicate risks and actions.
• Identify and resolve site-support, logistics, environmental, and constructability issues; escalate critical risks.
• Champion Bechtel's Zero Accident Philosophy and integrate safety and housekeeping across indirects operations.
