Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Manager, Indirect Tax to lead U.S. sales and use tax compliance, audits, and advisory services for construction projects. You will develop tax positions, manage compliance processes, and partner with Procurement, Accounts Payable, Legal, and Operations to mitigate risk.

The role supports process improvement, tax technology, and team leadership, with flexible remote or hybrid work and regular in-office presence in multiple U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive tax experience, including U.S. sales and use tax.
• Indirect tax experience in construction, engineering, EPC, infrastructure, or project-based industries.
• Strong knowledge of nexus, sourcing, taxability, exemptions, resale, and use tax accruals.
• Experience with ERP systems and tax technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage U.S. sales and use tax compliance processes and related reporting.
• Oversee preparation/review of returns and ensure timely filings.
• Lead taxability reviews across jurisdictions for construction projects.
• Develop tax positions and maintain taxability matrices and guidance.
• Provide guidance on exemption and resale certificates and certificate management.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize tax processes and controls.
• Lead, coach, and develop indirect tax team members.
