Job summary

eBay is seeking a Senior Indirect Tax professional to independently manage complex tax matters across the Americas. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Finance to translate tax requirements into actionable business guidance.

The role emphasizes ownership, analytical rigor, and proactive risk management in a fast-paced, global environment. Hybrid in-office schedule and collaboration across time zones are expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of indirect tax experience in multinational setting
• Public accounting or in-house tax function experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Tax, or Accounting; CPA/CMI preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide timely indirect tax guidance to business units across eBay’s marketplace and affiliates.
• Research and interpret proposed legislation and regulatory updates and advise on impact.
• Evaluate new business initiatives for indirect tax implications and required positions.
• Translate tax conclusions into business requirements for Product, Engineering, and other partners.
• Collaborate with Tax, Legal, Finance, and other functions to support tax initiatives and audits.
• Lead internal audit initiatives and improve taxability monitoring and reporting.
• Document tax policies, positions, and procedures clearly and maintainable.
• Support audits and controversy matters, including information requests.
• Assist with M&A integration and nexus analyses as needed.
• Drive process improvements to scale indirect tax operations across the organization
