Job summary

Oxford Tax Recruiting is partnering with a large distribution and manufacturing company to hire a Senior Indirect Tax Manager in Denver to lead a team of indirect tax professionals and own the strategic direction of compliance, research and planning.

You will mentor and develop talent, drive automation and scalable processes, partner with Finance and IT to modernize systems, and lead defensible tax positions through rigorous risk assessment and documentation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years indirect tax experience (progressive roles).
• 3–5 years leading teams.
• Deep knowledge of tax engines, ERP systems, and data automation tools.
• SOX and tax research platform experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and mentor a team of tax professionals handling complex compliance and advisory work.
• Own indirect tax strategy—from process design to technical problem-solving.
• Drive automation, control improvements, and operational scalability.
• Partner with Finance and IT to modernize systems and workflows.
• Lead defensible tax positions through risk identification, research, and documentation.
