Job summary

Altera is seeking an Indirect Commodity Manager in San Jose to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contracting across Engineering Services, IT, Facilities, HR, and more.

You will partner with stakeholders to deliver cost-effective, compliant procurement solutions, manage MSAs and SOWs, and drive supplier performance, risk mitigation, and value creation.

The role requires strong analytics, leadership, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, global tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of indirect procurement or category management experience.
• Strong expertise in contract negotiations and supplier management.
• Experience with US-based procurement in technology/manufacturing sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing events and contract negotiations.
• Manage supplier performance through scorecards and QBRs.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, IT, and HR to deliver compliant procurement solutions.
• Drive cost savings and supplier consolidation initiatives.
