Job summary

Altera in San Jose, CA, seeks an experienced Indirect Commodity Manager to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, and commercial contracting across diverse indirect spend categories. You will partner with stakeholders to deliver cost-effective, compliant, and scalable procurement solutions while driving supplier performance and risk mitigation.

The role requires 8+ years in procurement/strategic sourcing, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with major ERP/ sourcing tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management experience.
• Proven experience developing sourcing strategies across indirect categories.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category, sourcing, and supplier strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including RFx, evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Negotiate MSAs, SOWs, and outsourcing agreements with key suppliers.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, IT, and other stakeholders to deliver compliant procurement solutions.
