Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks an Incident Response Coordinator to manage end-to-end IT incident response in a highly regulated federal environment. You will coordinate across infra, apps, cybersecurity, and vendors, ensuring timely remediation and clear leadership updates throughout the lifecycle.

You will maintain audit-ready records, contribute to post‑incident reviews, and drive improvements to runbooks and ITSM workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in information technology, computer science, business administration, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 4–7 years of experience in incident management, incident response, or related IT operations roles with direct responsibility for coordinating multi‑party incident activities.
• Strong understanding of ITIL‑aligned incident management and structured incident response practices.
• Proficiency with IT service management platforms and monitoring solutions; ability to manage multiple incidents under pressure.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end IT incident response across full lifecycle and multiple concurrent incidents.
• Maintain audit-ready records, timelines, and capture key decisions and impacts.
• Route incidents using telemetry data and engage dependencies across infra, apps, cyber, and vendors.
• Provide structured internal and leadership communications and manage handoffs.
• Lead PIRs, identify recurring patterns, and update runbooks and workflows.
• Escalate deteriorating incidents per SLA and escalation guidelines.
• Collect and store key decisions and timelines for audits and compliance.
• Serve as single point of contact for cross-team collaboration to resolve incidents.
• Track incidents in ITSM platforms and verify remediation steps.
