Job summary

Google is seeking an Incident Response Consultant to deliver industry-leading incident response, assessments, and managed detection services. You will resolve security incidents at scale, including investigation, containment, remediation and crisis management across diverse environments (GCP and on‑premise).

The role emphasizes threat hunting, forensic analysis, and collaboration with clients, leadership, and legal teams. Travel up to 30% is required, with strong communication of findings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with incident response investigations, analysis, or containment actions.
• 8 years of experience with network forensics, malware triage analysis, cloud forensics, or disk/memory forensics.

Responsibilities

• Manage incident response engagements, investigations, and threat-hunting operations with minimal guidance.
• Perform digital forensics, live response, traffic analysis, and malware analysis across cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Automate forensic tasks and build utility tools using programming languages.
• Oversee project lifecycle for multiple engagements including planning, budgeting, and quality control.
• Draft investigation reports and present findings to stakeholders and clients.
