Job summary

Button is seeking a Corporate Counsel to own the commercial contract lifecycle and privacy program. You will draft and negotiate SaaS, data, advertising, and partnership agreements, while aligning with product and business teams.

Expect to shape templates, governance, and vendor diligence in a fast-paced environment. You will handle privacy posture across US and international laws, manage outside counsel, and collaborate with People Ops on employment matters.

Qualifications

• Active bar admission in New York or eligible to register as in-house counsel in New York.
• 5–7 years in practice, including at least two years in-house.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and close commercial technology agreements (SaaS, data, advertising, partnerships) as the responsible lawyer.
• Lead privacy, data protection, and platform compliance efforts across domestic and international law.
• Develop contracting templates, playbooks, and governance standards; manage outside counsel when needed.
