Job summary

BCL Legal Limited seeks an experienced In-House Counsel for its Houston, Texas office. This full-time role provides commercial legal support across a broad range of matters, with a base salary up to $200,000 plus a 30% annual incentive.

The ideal candidate holds a J.D. from an accredited law school, is admitted to the Texas Bar, and has prior in-house experience, especially in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, IP, employment/HR and real-estate matters.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Texas Bar.
• Prior in-house commercial or generalist counsel experience.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts; exposure to IP, employment/HR and real-estate matters.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day legal advice on commercial and operational issues.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Advise on intellectual-property provisions and risk management.
• Support HR and employment-related matters.
• Handle real-estate agreements and leases.
• Identify and manage legal and commercial risks.
• Assist in developing policies, procedures and risk-management practices.
