RJ Schinner Co. is seeking an Import Purchasing Manager to lead import buying and inventory planning for a nationwide distribution network. The role ensures optimal procurement, forecasting, and distribution of imported products, coordinating with Purchasing, Sales, Operations, and vendors.

Responsibilities include supervising Import Buyers, managing forecasts, and driving improvements in inventory productivity while maintaining high service levels and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred.
• 5+ years in purchasing, inventory planning, or procurement.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience with imported products and distribution.
• Vendor relationship management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Import Buyers and develop the team.
• Oversee inventory planning for all import product categories.
• Create vendor forecasts using sales trends and input from teams.
• Manage mixing center inventory and transfer forecasts.
• Identify and mitigate excess and slow-moving inventory.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance and Purchasing.
• Develop and maintain inventory performance metrics.
