Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Process Engineer in the Implant Department to support ion implantation equipment and maintain state-of-the-art implanters. You will drive quality, efficiency, defect reduction, and cost of ownership while prioritizing safety and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of semiconductor experience preferred.
• 300mm Implant/Anneal experience preferred.
• Familiarity with AMAT VIISta HCP, AMAT VIISta Trident, NISSIN Exceed3000AH/EVO2, Axcelis ParadigmXE preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and maintenance manuals.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high-volume manufacturing cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Practice 6S in the office and fab and prioritize safety.
• Assist technicians with daily workload and sustaining activities in the fab.
• Develop recovery plans for abnormalities and tool downtime.
• Document daily tool activities and share learnings across the organization.
• Develop SOPs, recovery plans, task plans, troubleshooting guides, and process flows.
• Maintain trainings and certifications up to date.
• Collaborate with vendors and other departments to improve tool performance and cost-efficiency.
• Analyze alarms/interlocks data to identify issues and drive improvements.
• Support throughput goals by optimizing tool recipes and inventory management.
